Annual Fund

The Junior League of DeKalb County's Annual Fund sustains and grows the League’s programs and ultimately helps make our community a better place.  The yearly campaign  provides DeKalb County community stakeholders with an opportunity to support the League’s programs with a charitable financial contribution.

Annual Fund donations are accepted online or by mailing to Junior League of DeKalb County, Attn: Annual Fund, P.O. Box 1106, Decatur, GA, 30031.

Since the inception of the League in 1934, the Annual Fund has supported many community projects, including:

    • The DeKalb Rape Crisis Center. The Center, whose name would later change to theDay League, would become the League’s signature project.
    • Elementary school teachers in DeKalb County through the award of almost $200,000 in mini-grants.
    • The International Women's House (IWH), a shelter for battered women not from the United States.
    • The restoration and preservation of the Mary Gay House, a historic antebellum home which was renovated and moved to Adair Park in 1980.

All gifts are tax deductible and may be designated in honor or memory of someone special. A gift to the Annual Fund is a great way to say thank you, remember a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion. JLD will send a special letter to the person you designate on your donor form and publish the recognition on our website.
