Improving Nutrition and Combating Obesity in DeKalb County

September 20, 2011 JLD hosted a community roundtable to discuss our new community impact focus area, “Improving Nutrition and Combating Obesity in DeKalb County,” with community partners.  This roundtable provided incredible insight in order to help JLD improve DeKalb County citizens’ health through better nutrition and exercise, and by helping to cut obesity rates.   The discussion was facilitated by Vicki Clark, a non-profit consultant and strategist. 

Celebrating the Mary Gay House

Marking the 30 year anniversary of restoring the Mary Gay House, JLD has launched a capital campaign to continue to repair and refurbish the Mary Gay House.   Click here to learn more!  Press release available here. 

To date, the campaign has raised sufficient funds to support several major improvement projects, including expanding and re-landscaping the back patio.
